The Private Equity Data Center is a database that reveals specific comparables of venture capital investments in private companies in the United States, including the deal terms and valuations of the companies which received funding ... searchable by region, calendar quarter and business sector, i.e., all bio-tech financings in New England in Q2, 2007. The database relies upon regulatory filings to provide accurate "comps" of the transactions.
In addition to displaying the deal terms and valuations of the companies, subscribers can now view the investors, the legal counsel, key company contact and the actual Certificate of Incorporation for a company.
