Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, L.P. announced the closing of its fourth energy private equity fund with total commitments of $950 million.
As with its prior funds, the new fund will focus on making private equity investments in early to mid-stage North American oil and gas companies with strong management teams that need strategic equity capital to finance acquisition and development opportunities. Typical investments range from $10 to $100 million.
Since 1991, Kayne Anderson has completed over 50 transactions with more than 30 energy companies.
The energy private equity management team of Kayne Anderson consists of 10 professionals based in Houston and Los Angeles, managing more than $1.8 billion of the $6.7 billion in assets under the firm's management.
