DNage BV Closes First Round Funding

DNage BV ("DNage" or "the Company") today announced the closing of a first round of financing enabling the Company to start development of new products to prevent and treat diseases associated with aging.

DNage is a biotech company that was founded as a spin off from the Department of Genetics of the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, The Netherlands ("EMC"). DNage is developing therapeutic and prophylactic products in the field of aging.

The company attracted Life Sciences Partners  and Inventages Venture Capital Investments Inc., two Venture Capital firms specialized in investments into life science companies as their main shareholders. Other shareholders include the founders, Erasmus Medical Center and private investors.

DNage is a biotech company that was founded as a spin off from the Department of Genetics of the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. DNage is developing therapeutic and prophylactic products in the field of aging. It is based on the work of Prof. dr. J.H.J. Hoeijmakers and his team in DNA damage/repair and genome stability. This group was the first to establish an explicit connection between DNA repair and the process of aging. Now, for the first time, a targeted effort can be undertaken to reduce the effects of aging and/or aging related healthcare problems.
